Wellfare is excited to announce our summer intern class for 2022! We worked with the wonderful team at Opportunity Network along with other organizations to identify and interview dozens of candidates from a large applicant pool. We're so happy to have landed on Andrea, Habibatou and Michelle! Get to know our summer 2022 class:
Andrea joins us as a Marketing Intern where she'll be assisting in content, PR development and community management. Andrea is a native of Staten Island, just wrapped her freshman year at Northeastern University and is a Fellow with Opportunity Network.
Andrea will get hands-on experience with:
Planning content calendars
Creating content for multiple channels
Developing reporters and editors for coverage of Wellfare's program and growth
Building our online community
Building our influencer network
Habibatou joins us as a Fundraising Intern where she'll be assisting in foundation, major donor and corporate funding development. Habiba is a native of Brooklyn, just wrapped her freshman year at Duke University and is a Fellow with Opportunity Network.
Habibatou will get hands-on experience with:
Identifying and developing program officers with national, regional and family foundations
Identifying and developing mission-aligned corporations for partnership and funding support
Identifying and developing philanthropic major donors
Michelle joins us as a Program Operations Intern where she'll be assisting with our inventory management, fulfillment and distribution workflow and product procurement. Michelle is a native of New Jersey and just finished her sophomore year at New York University.
Michelle will get hands-on experience with:
Coordinating with brand partners for available product donations
Analyzing inventory and forecasting category needs
Planning future box cycles and flyers
Optimizing our distribution workflow
