Wellfare is excited to announce we have joined 1% for the Planet as an Environmental Partner.
Started in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, 1% for the Planet is an alliance of businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals determined to ensure our planet and future generations thrive. Member businesses commit to donate at least 1% of their annual revenue to approved environmental partners through monetary and in-kind support. The pledge is taken by countless leading companies and has resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars in support to organizations around the world.
By joining 1% for the Planet, Wellfare will be able to connect with more mission-aligned businesses to procure more in-kind donations of nutritious food and grow the program with additional monetary support. Additionally, for existing partners who are also 1% members, their donations toward Wellfare can now be counted toward their annual pledge. A win-win for all!
