This past week, Wellfare teamed up with sweetgreen again to help ring in their newest New York City location in Long Island City. Our founder Cole Riley joined the crew to talk about Wellfare, our work in the community and our partnership with sweetgreen. For every salad sold on opening day, one will be donated to Wellfare to help nourish the communities we serve.
For nearly a year, sweetgreen and Wellfare have been working together to distribute salads and coupons to families living in public housing. Breaking down barriers to healthy food is a massive undertaking that will take a massive coalition of brands, government agencies and people hungry for change — and there's no better partner in this herculean effort than sweetgreen.
