Last Saturday, Wellfare, the New York Liberty, Brooklyn Nets and Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) came together in East Harlem to give back to the community.
In our second event together, joined by Liberty guard DiDi Richards, we distributed our Eat & Move Better Boxes to families in need. Over the course of the day, we put $90,000 worth of nutritious food in families' hands as well as HSS wellness resources like yoga mats, pedometers, and resistance bands. Additionally, HSS clinicians and staff were on-site providing families with blood pressure screenings, nutrition education and information on navigating their insurance to access care.
