Maya is an entrepreneur on a mission to increase access to healthy, better-for-you food and beverage. With Koia and now with Joydays, Maya creates category disruptors that pave the way for other natural foods in mass markets.
Growing up in a food desert in the Southside of Chicago, she also experienced first hand the effects of health inequality in underserved communities. She brings to Wellfare strategic guidance from a perspective of a founder and an understanding of challenges faced by people living in underserved communities.
